Less of a story and more informational about R2-D2 and his friends. Boy and Bot by Amy Dyckman is one of those “must read” books that has to be included in any respectable best robot books for boys list. After all it has a boy, and a robot, and it is nifty as well. Robot is a main character on Netflix's Lost in Space. He develops a bond with Will Robinson, becoming his servant and later his friend. He is an amalgam of shapeshifting alien metal and organic thought patterns. We first meet the Robot on the ship, Resolute, where it is attacking s in: Lost in Space ( TV series). The shape-shifting T was truly terrifying when he first made his way onto the silver screen. His morphing abilities meant he could quickly re-form when shot, stabbed or sliced, but he could also transform his hands into blades and liquify to fit through small gaps. We're not going to lie. We were scared. We still are.
That is the part I remember most from my childhood. He never really does anything else that is very cool with his robot powers, like shoot up a police station, but I guess it was not a completely worthless movie. It sure is one of the better boy-is-a-robot movies such as the craptacular A.I. “There once was a boy / Who was made, not created” begins the song on “8Bit Heart” (), Curtis’ first album. Continuing the narrative of a created boy is Isaak, adopted into a family in a tiny Ozarks town and now kicked out of the house by his adoptive mother, who sees him as a monster.

The Good Boy Robot was such a thrill to read. I loved the cat and mouse feel from beginning to /5. A Boy and His Bot by Daniel H. Wilson – 4/5th grade and up – Science Fiction – I listened to this book because it recently popped up on a review list. I enjoyed actually listening to a solid science fiction book that had a fascinating robot/technology world and an interesting adventure/5.
This book felt like it had a life force of its own-it kept calling out to me, demanding to be read. Now I know why-it was a beautiful and adventurous distraction from reality.
